The first movie story of Monster Inc last few year is about the company and the staff working time, but now they have continue with this movie put out about their previous college life time. Michael "Mike" Wazowski is a 6-year-old monster. Their school field trips to visit Monsters Inc., the most famous fright company. Those students met Frank McCay, Monsters, Inc. employees, his career is frightened child in the human world, and at night they went to frighten children and harvest their screams as electric energy in the monster world. Mike slips with Frank through the door, into the human world, Mike looked at how to do the job. Then Frank gives his monster University MU hat to Mike as a souvenir. Mike's dream is he wants to enter this famous university and be a scarer when he grew up.

11 years later, Mike successfully entered this famous monsters university, study s the scare as main subjects, he step by step towards his dream come true. The first day he came to the monster in college, he met his new roommate, Randall "Randy" Boggs, nerd invisible chameleon-like monster. In the first day of class, Mike excitedly went to classroom lessons. Suddenly the strict Dean Professor told the students that they must pass the final exam semester in order to continue in the program, students stress when heard this news. When Mike replying to a question, an arrogant big blue monster named James P. "Sulley" Sullivan late, he interrupted Mike answer. 

Mike is studying at night, Sulley accidentally ran into his room, in order to steal the pig mascot. To cope with the end of the exam, Mike relies on his own efforts, memorize all the textbooks. In the classroom Mike a lot of advancement. Sulley is immutable simply repeat the same expression, standing still no any stride. Final exam day, Sulley tease Mike angry dispute, smashes professor record-breaking screams electricity bottle, they are failed, can not continue at scare major.

In order to study major in scare, Mike is bet with Professor, but also forced group with Sulley, to form a team game, and Mike's roommate betrayed him, go to another team work. Nevertheless, Mike and Sull became best partner and friends, step by step towards their dream and become a part of Monster Inc. scarer and coach.

      11年后，迈克成功进入这间有名的怪兽大学，念的主科是恐吓系，他一步一步迈进他的梦想。在他第一天来到怪兽大学，他遇见他的新室友，Randall "Randy" Boggs兰德尔“兰迪”博格斯，书呆子变色龙隐形般的怪兽。在上课的第一天，迈克兴奋地到了他梦想以求的课室里上课。上课时，突然间，严格的Dean教授告诉学生，他们必须通过期末考试的学期，才能继续在恐吓系中，让学生们压力不已。当他们恢复课堂，迈克回答一个问题时，一个傲慢的蓝色的大怪物名为James P. "Sulley" Sullivan詹姆斯P.“苏力”沙利文迟到，他打断了迈克的回答。

    迈克正在温习研究一个晚上，Sulley无意中闯入他的房间，为了偷猪的吉祥物。为了应付末考，迈克靠自己的努力，背熟了课本的一切，在课堂上迈克进步了很多，发而Sulley则一成不变只是重复一样的表情，原地踏步没有进步。期末考试当天，Sulley挑逗迈克生气发生争执，摔破了教授破纪录的尖叫声电力瓶，他们也不合格，不能修恐吓系。

    迈克为了有望进入恐吓系，和教授打赌，也逼不得已和Sulley等人组成一队比赛，而迈克的室友竟然背叛了他。最后，迈克和Sull成为好朋友和好拍档，一步一步迈向他们的梦想，成为怪兽电力公司的恐吓人和教练。
